Fantasy9 LLC ("Fantasy9", "we", "our", or "us") operates the Fantasy9 mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when users access or use the Service.

Fantasy9 is designed to collect only the limited information necessary to operate a fantasy sports game and, where applicable, to provide optional paid subscriptions. We do not request or store personal profile information such as names or email addresses directly from users.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Fantasy9 collects limited information necessary to operate the Service. This information falls into several categories described below.

1.1 Authentication Identifiers

User accounts are created and accessed through third-party authentication providers. Fantasy9 does not provide a native username or password system.

Current and planned authentication providers include:

  • Google Sign-In
  • Kakao Login
  • Apple Sign-In (planned)
  • Naver Login (planned)

When a user signs in through one of these services, Fantasy9 receives a unique identifier associated with that user within the authentication provider's system. This identifier allows Fantasy9 to recognize and authenticate the user when they access the Service.

Fantasy9 does not request or store personal profile information such as names, email addresses, or profile photos from authentication providers.

1.2 Fantasy Game Data

Users may create fantasy teams and participate in fantasy leagues within the Service. This may include:

  • Fantasy team names
  • Player selections
  • League participation data
  • Game-related interactions within the Service

This information is used solely to operate gameplay features.

1.3 Subscription and Purchase Data

If a user purchases a paid subscription (Fantasy9 Pro), Fantasy9 processes limited transaction-related information needed to grant and maintain access to paid features. This is described in more detail in Section 3 (Subscriptions and Payments) and may include:

  • A pseudonymous app user identifier
  • The product purchased and current subscription status
  • Purchase, renewal, and expiration dates
  • The store and country associated with the purchase

Fantasy9 does not collect or store payment card numbers, billing addresses, or other financial account details.

1.4 Analytics Information

Fantasy9 uses analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service and to improve gameplay and performance. Analytics may include information such as:

  • Page views
  • Button clicks
  • Time spent within the application
  • Gameplay interactions
  • Feature usage

Analytics data is generally collected in aggregated or pseudonymous form and is used to understand overall application usage patterns.

Fantasy9 currently uses Google Analytics to collect and process analytics data.

1.5 Log Data

When users access the Service, our servers may automatically record certain technical information. This may include:

  • Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Device or operating system information
  • Request timestamps
  • Application version information
  • Diagnostic and error information

Log data is used for purposes such as maintaining system security, diagnosing technical issues, and improving service performance.

2. How We Use Information

Information collected through the Service is used for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain the Fantasy9 fantasy sports platform
  • To authenticate users through third-party login providers
  • To support fantasy league gameplay and scoring
  • To provide, renew, and restore paid subscriptions
  • To analyze application performance and usage patterns
  • To maintain service security and detect abuse
  • To improve application features and reliability

Fantasy9 does not sell personal information to third parties.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Fantasy9 offers an optional paid subscription, Fantasy9 Pro, which unlocks additional features. This section explains how subscription-related information is handled.

3.1 Payment Processing

All payments for Fantasy9 Pro are processed by the app store through which the subscription is purchased — the Apple App Store or Google Play. Fantasy9 does not collect, receive, or store payment card numbers, billing addresses, or other financial account details. Payment information is handled directly by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies.

3.2 Subscription Management

Fantasy9 uses RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service, to verify and manage subscription entitlements. When a user purchases, renews, restores, or cancels a subscription, RevenueCat may receive and process the following on our behalf:

  • A pseudonymous Fantasy9 app user identifier
  • The product purchased and subscription status (active, in trial, expired, or cancelled)
  • Purchase, renewal, and expiration dates
  • The store and country associated with the purchase
  • Anonymized store transaction identifiers

This information is used to grant and restore access to paid features, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to understand subscription performance. RevenueCat processes this information under its own privacy policy.

3.3 Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

Fantasy9 Pro subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Users can manage or turn off auto-renewal at any time through their Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Pricing, renewal terms, cancellation, and any applicable refund or withdrawal rights are described in our Terms of Service. Where required by applicable law, including the right of withdrawal for digital content under Korean law, those rights are honored as described in the Terms of Service.

4. Advertising

Fantasy9 displays advertisements within the Service.

Advertisements are provided through Google AdMob, which may use advertising identifiers or device information to deliver ads.

Fantasy9 primarily uses contextual advertising, meaning ads may be shown based on the content or context of the application rather than personal user profiles.

Advertising networks may collect or process certain information in accordance with their own privacy policies. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of these third-party providers for more information.

Fantasy9 does not create advertising profiles of users.

5. Push Notifications

Fantasy9 may send push notifications to users' devices for purposes such as:

  • Gameplay updates
  • League activity notifications
  • Service announcements

Push notifications are delivered through device notification services and may require processing of a device notification token in order to deliver the notification.

Users may disable push notifications through their device settings at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

Fantasy9 relies on several third-party services to operate the Service. These providers may process information as necessary to perform their functions.

Third-party services used by Fantasy9 may include:

  • Google Sign-In (authentication)
  • Kakao Login (authentication)
  • Apple Sign-In (authentication, planned)
  • Naver Login (authentication, planned)
  • Apple App Store (subscription payment processing)
  • Google Play (subscription payment processing)
  • RevenueCat (subscription management)
  • Google Analytics (application analytics)
  • Google AdMob (advertising)
  • Amazon Web Services (cloud infrastructure)

These services operate under their own privacy policies and data handling practices.

7. International Data Transfers

Fantasy9 operates cloud infrastructure in multiple regions.

Information processed by the Service may be stored or processed on servers located in:

  • The United States (AWS us-east-1, Virginia)
  • The Republic of Korea (AWS ap-northeast-2, Seoul)

Some third-party providers described in this policy, including subscription and analytics providers, may also process information outside of these regions. By using the Service, users acknowledge that information may be transferred to and processed in these jurisdictions.

8. Data Retention

Fantasy9 retains information only for as long as necessary to operate the Service and support gameplay functionality.

In general:

  • Fantasy team and league data may be retained while the user account remains active.
  • Subscription and transaction records may be retained for as long as necessary to manage entitlements and to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
  • Server logs may be retained for operational and security purposes.
  • Analytics information may be retained in aggregated or pseudonymous form.

When an account deletion is requested, the account enters a 30-day grace period during which the user may restore the account by signing back in. During this period, account data is retained but the account is inactive. After 30 days, authentication identifiers associated with the account will be permanently removed. In some cases, fantasy league data may be anonymized if necessary to maintain the integrity of ongoing leagues.

9. Account Deletion

Users may delete their account directly from the Account screen within the application, or by contacting:

Upon requesting deletion, the account enters a 30-day grace period. During this time, the user may restore the account by signing back in with the same provider. After 30 days, the deletion becomes permanent and the account cannot be recovered.

Upon permanent deletion, Fantasy9 will remove authentication identifiers and disassociate the account from any associated data.

If the account participates in active fantasy leagues or game contexts, related data may be anonymized to preserve league functionality.

Deleting a Fantasy9 account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To stop future charges, users must cancel auto-renewal through their Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding the information processed by the Service, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of that information, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can exercise many of these rights directly within the application (for example, by deleting your account) or by contacting us at privacy@fantasy9.co.kr. We will respond to verified requests in accordance with applicable law.

11. Security

Fantasy9 implements reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information processed by the Service.

Security measures may include:

  • Encrypted communication using HTTPS
  • Secure authentication systems
  • Restricted internal access to operational systems

While we strive to protect information, no system can guarantee absolute security.

12. Children's Privacy

Fantasy9 is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take steps to delete it.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Fantasy9 may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When changes are made, the updated policy will be made available within the application and the effective date will be revised. Continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
